This audiovisual work is built from archival recordings of followers of Edgar Cayce discussing the so-called “Temples of Sacrifice” and “Temples of Beauty,” places said to exist in a lost spiritual history of humanity. It the first part of a series called Cayce Fragments.
Their language is strange, poetic, and deeply sincere. Whether visionary, delusional, or something in between, the recordings reveal a very human impulse: the desire to construct mythologies that explain the universe.
